Conference Venue

The Bio21 Institute is popular as a venue for a variety of events. We have hosted milestone events such as the University's launch of the Melbourne Model, award ceremonies, conferences, special seminars, community awareness and industry engagement programs.

State-of-the-art conference facilities include a 200 seat auditorium with in-house audio and visual equipment and an adjoining atrium space for breakout and displays.

Venue features:

  • 200 seat auditorium with very spacious leg room
  • Up to 400 standing room capacity for receptions
  • Two ceiling mounted data projectors and two screens
  • Lectern with touch panel central controls, equipped with Windows and Macintosh operating systems and control for all audio-visual and lighting.

  • In-house PA system with VCR Player, VCR Recorder, DVD and cassette player/recorder
  • Disable accessible
  • Hearing aid loop
  • Slide projector
  • 2 x wireless lapel microphones, 1 x roving microphone and
  • 3 x table microphones (additional fee)
  • Internet access (set up fee applies)
  • Whiteboard, laser pointer, remote powerpoint slide changer
  • 6 x poster boards (additional fee)
  • Up to 8 x trestle tables for catering and registration
